Ten straight games have been lost by the Washington Wizards. Centre Alex Sarr of the Washington Wizards, though, would be among the best rookies in the NBA in the 2024–25 season. His chances of being named the NBA Rookie of the Year are high.
Sarr topped NBA.com’s rookie rankings on January 14th, and last week, Steve Aschburner had this to say about him:
After being named East Rookie of the Month in December, Sarr has seen a decline in his shooting percentage and scoring, but an increase in his assist and rebound percentages. He had 13 points, two steals, and two blocks in the game against Minnesota, while shooting 3-for-5 from outside the arc.
As things stand, Sarr’s stats read 11.6 points, 6.7 boards, and 2.2 assists per contest. His three-point shooting percentage has been on the rise this season, as he is currently shooting 31.1% on the season.
