Madrid and Barça are both interested in the Bayern Munich midfielder, whose contract is up in the summer.
As the season winds down, clubs are getting ready to make one last push while also planning for the next summer transfer market.
Real Madrid’s goal, in light of the challenges Carlo Ancelotti’s squad has faced, is to fortify their defensive. Right now, getting Trent Alexander-Arnold’s signing closed as quickly as possible is our top goal.
Despite Florentino Perez’s best efforts, Liverpool flat-out refused to sign the English star during the winter transfer window. Regardless, Arnold can visit the Santiago Bernabéu this summer as a free agent.
But the defence isn’t the only area of concern for the team. Joshua Kimmich is one of the names who have been linked to the Merengues as they contemplate adding a midfielder to Chamartín’s roster in order to bolster the team’s engine room.
The midfielder’s deal with the Bavarians is up in June, and at 30 years old, he may be considering a move. Barcelona may also be interested in the German.
There is limited time left
“We understand that we cannot afford to wait indefinitely, but we would like to grant Joshua some space to develop his belief that Bayern Munich is the club he wishes to remain with,” stated Max Eberl, the sporting director of the Munich club, in a recent statement.
If “Fichajes.com” is to be believed, Kimmich will have the opportunity to make a decision regarding his future following the upcoming international break (March 17–25). So, a contract extension to stay with Allianz is on the table, but a move to Spain is also a distinct possibility…
