Hawks versus. Spurs Forecast, Selections, and Odds for the NBA Game Tonight

The San Antonio Spurs have accelerated their schedule since acquiring a new sidekick for Victor Wembanyama. Tonight at State Farm Arena, they will attempt to begin a winning run when they play the Atlanta Hawks.

As De’Aaron Fox makes his San Antonio debut, all eyes will be on him. According to my Spurs vs. Hawks predictions, Wemby will use the excitement to deliver a huge performance.

Spurs vs. Hawks forecast
My best option
Wembanyama Victor More than 23.5 points (bet365’s -120)

My evaluation
The De’Aaron Fox deal promises to elevate the Victor Wembanyama experience to a new level, which is exactly what the San Antonio Spurs’ middle-of-the-pack offense needed.

Although that link won’t be lethal right away, I think Wemby will thrive with more room to move, so I’m going with the Over on this 23.5-point wager against the Atlanta Hawks, who are struggling right now.

Wembanyama had been on a roll even before Fox was added. With an effective 10-for-20 shooting line, he scored 27 points against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday. In his last five games, he has averaged 26 points.

He has hit 10-for-23 from 3-point range in his last three games and is up to 24.6 points per game this season.

Wemby, who exploded for 42 points in an overtime victory back in December, clearly liked this flimsy Atlanta defense in their previous meeting this season, and I’m watching for some early looks at the Wembanyama-Fox pick-and-roll threat.

Wembanyama couldn’t ask for a better opportunity to boost his numbers, and the struggling Hawks should be the perfect opponent, especially with Fox and Chris Paul (who is iffy) providing assists.

Atlanta has conceded at least 130 points in three consecutive games and is giving up 119 points per game this season, which is the third-worst total in the NBA. The hosts are also lacking up front due to Clint Capela’s absence.

I anticipate that the visitors will show off their offensive prowess in this match, powered by a Wemby scoring run, despite San Antonio’s own recent setbacks.

I still feel comfortable laying the points with a San Antonio team that now has a solid balance of depth and shooting, but this line was always going to have more juice after Fox was confirmed as active for the Spurs.

Without Jalen Johnson and Bogdan Bogdanovic, the Hawks’ wing rotation suffers greatly, as they are 22-28 ATS this season. Trae Young is also left with a great deal of responsibility, and it goes without saying that the Spurs’ rim protection is excellent.

Although San Antonio’s road record this season is just 7–13, the visitors have covered the spread in three of their last four meetings with Atlanta.

Additionally, I’m fading the total number of rebounds for Onyeka Okongwu. Despite not being Wembanyama’s main defender, he has a high risk of foul trouble and has failed to score ten or more points in five of his last six games. He hasn’t even pulled down eight rebounds in three of those.

He might be pulled away from the basket during possessions when he is paired with Wemby, leaving other Hawks to wipe down the glass. This 10.5 line seems very high.

Opening odds for Spurs vs. Hawks

Atlanta +4 (-110) | San Antonio -4 (-110) is the spread.
Moneyline: Atlanta +135 | San Antonio -160
More or less than 240 (-110) | Less than 240 (-110)

Analysis of the Spurs vs. Hawks spread and over/under
Throw out the majority of the San Antonio tendencies now that Fox is here; his contributions will greatly boost this offense.
A Hawks club that had dropped eight straight until a thrilling victory in Detroit on Monday is difficult to trust.
Both clubs have dominated the Over this season; Atlanta is 29-19-2 and San Antonio is 8-2 in their last ten games.
The line is up to a healthy 241.5 here because the Over is also 8-2 in the clubs’ last 10 meetings.
