Overtime, the Denver Nuggets prevailed against the star-studded Phoenix Suns, 149-141, thwarting the Suns’ 21-point comeback attempt. Despite the Suns’ desperation to win, the Nuggets were able to pull off the upset and secure a Play-In Tournament position in 11th place in the Western Conference.

With a career-best performance that included 31 points, 21 rebounds, 22 assists, and 3 steals, Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic stood out in the NBA.

Jokic made NBA history by scoring 30+ points, grabbing 20+ rebounds, and dishing out 20+ assists all in one game.

Just into Friday night’s game, Jokic had a season average of 28.8 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 10.4 assists while shooting 57.6 percent, 43.9 percent, and 81.9 percent. Jokic has been named NBA MVP three times in the past four years, and given his current play, it’s hard to argue against his winning it again.

Once again, Friday’s game demonstrated Jokic’s utter dominance; he has been an aberration in the NBA due to his knack for stuffing the stat sheet. It seems like Jokic does this every night, and very few players have mastered as many facets of the game as he has.

Jokic continued his impressive performance on Friday night in a Western Conference matchup that could decide the postseason berths. Next up for the Nuggets is a back-to-back road series against the Oklahoma City Thunder, so Jokic will need to keep his dominant play going.
