Jordan James, the running back for Oregon, left the Rose Bowl game in the first half due to what appeared to be an injury and will not return.
With the Ducks behind 24-0, James left the locker room after seven carries for 14 yards in the first half and did not come back before halftime.
James, who started the day with 1,253 running yards and 15 touchdowns, will miss the rest of the game, according to ESPN.
At the half, Ohio State, ranked eighth, had a 34-8 lead and a 121-13 advantage in rushing yards.
