Tickets for the College Football Playoff semifinals have been purchased by three teams. Who is going to be the fourth?

Following a terrorist assault on Bourbon Street in New Orleans early on January 1 that left 15 people dead and numerous others injured, the Sugar Bowl matchup between Georgia and Notre Dame, the quarterfinals’ last game, was rescheduled for Thursday.

Nobody will doubt Georgia coach Kirby Smart’s ability to inspire his squad, particularly in a situation like this one where his starting quarterback is sidelined and headed to the NFL. But with Gunner Stockton in the game, how well can Georgia move the ball? Georgia sticking to its run game won’t surprise us.
It is tied by Notre Dame.
The Irish settle for a 44-yard field goal try after the drive fizzes out on the edge of the red zone. Kicker Mitch Jeter nails the goal to tie the score.

The Bulldogs were given a 15-yard penalty on the back end of the play because a Georgia player blocked a referee as he ran down the sideline.

The Irish are currently in possession of the ball, but their numerous penalties aren’t helping their cause. In the first fifteen minutes, it is five for forty-three yards.
This battle has so far been low-scoring, as the oddsmakers predicted.

The ball popped out after the Irish pounded Georgia running back Trevor Etienne in the backfield! Notre Dame retrieves it.
When it appeared that the Bulldogs would at least score a field goal, if not more, what a huge defensive play in the early going.

The Bulldogs are beyond middle and getting close to scoring range after two passes from Gunner Stockton to Dillon Bell.
It’s punted back by Notre Dame.
The Irish’s first possession doesn’t go much better; they went three-and-out after losing nine yards.
ND received two running-into-the-kicker penalties.
Following two penalties on Bryce Young, the Irish have regained possession of the ball. On consecutive punts, he collided with the Georgia punter, but Notre Dame had buried them behind the goal.

It didn’t last long. Georgia was forced to punt as Notre Dame’s defense put them in a defensive position.

The Bulldogs had a first down after a defensive pass interference call, but the Irish were going to get out of the first possession fairly easily.
