The Celtics vs. 76ers NBA Game Prediction, Picks, and Odds for Tonight

Boston will try to level the season series tonight after the 76ers defeated the Celtics 118-114 on Christmas Day. There won’t be much brotherly love in this matchup between rivals from the Atlantic Division when the C’s visit Philadelphia.

Tyrese Maxey, who has been giving his all for the struggling Sixers, is expected to have another incredible game in my Celtics vs. 76ers predictions. See why you should purchase Maxey’s combo prop on Sunday, February 2 by reading my NBA predictions.

Maxey Tyrese Over 41.5 points plus assists and rebounds (-115 at bet365)

My evaluation

This season, Tyrese Maxey is averaging 37.9 minutes per game with 27.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 6.1 assists. While Paul George and Joel Embiid are struggling to stay on the court, he is dominating the Philadelphia 76ers with a 31.1 usage rate. Only Mikal Bridges (38.3) has averaged more minutes than Maxey, who has the 12th-highest usage rate in the Association.

Maxey averaged 25.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and five assists in the season’s first 20 games. His averages have skyrocketed to 29.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 7.1 assists over the past 20.

Maxey has been outstanding over the past nine years, even though he has been much better throughout the past twenty. The top guard for Philadelphia has recorded 33.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 6.8 rebounds during that time, for a 43.8 PRA.

Maxey’s usage rate increased to 33.4 over the past three weeks, making it the ninth-highest in the Association. He played the most minutes per game in the Association during that time, 39.4 per game. With Joel Embiid and Paul George out again, I anticipate a lot of scoring, grabbing rebounds, and facilitating in addition to a lot of minutes and usage against the Boston Celtics.

Boston has given up an average of 38.9 PRAs to opposing PGs over the past 15 games. Maxey recorded a 32/3/5 line in the season-ending game against Boston and concluded with 33/4/12 against the C’s on Christmas. Maxey has now faced Boston in two consecutive overs, both of which were away games.

Maxey should have little trouble hitting 42 PRAs tonight, as he has averaged 38.3 PRAs at home and only 35.8 on the road. Here, hammer the over.
What could be superior to a single combination prop? What about two?

Kristaps Porzingis has averaged 31.2 PRAs and hit the Over on this line seven times in his last twelve games. In 14 of 24 games total, including seven of 13 away from home, KP has achieved this milestone.

The 76ers have let opponents average 22.3 points, 13.9 rebounds, and an all-time high of 8.4 assists during the past seven games. Porzingis should benefit from a favourable matchup because Andre Drummond is doubtful and Embiid is out.

Boston is a meagre 12-18 as double-digit favourites this season and is only 19-29-1 ATS. The C’s are only 19-27-1 as the favourite and 3-4 ATS versus the Atlantic Division.

I think Philadelphia, who are 4-1 straight-up and 5-0 ATS over their past five games, will cover this enormous spread at home against a visiting team that has had trouble covering lately.
