For the Chargers’ first game of the postseason, which will take place on Saturday against the Texans, several of their important players who are currently under question will be available.
Following the designation of doubtful for the game, running back J.K. Dobbins (ankle), receiver Quentin Johnston (thigh/illness), and linebacker Denzel Perryman (groin) are all expected to participate in the game.
Dobbins participated in practice in a limited capacity throughout the week, while Johnston attended only two of the three workouts. It was on Wednesday when Perryman was elevated to the status of full participant.
On the other hand, offensive tackle Trey Pipkins, who has been sidelined for all three days due to an oblique injury, will not be participating in the game.
On Friday, cornerback Eli Apple and receiver Simi Fehoko were brought off of injured reserve and activated to the 53-man roster. This gives them the opportunity to participate in the game.
Additionally, quarterback Easton Stick, tight end Hayden Hurst, defensive lineman Justin Eboigbe, and receiver Joshua Palmer are not participating in the game for Los Angeles. This includes running back Kimani Vidal, running back Jaret Patterson, and tight end Hayden Hurst. Stick serves as the Chargers’ standby third quarterback.
There was not a single unexpected inactive player for Houston. Following their initial status as questionable, defensive end Denico Autry (knee), receiver John Metchie (shoulder), and linebacker Christian Harris (ankle) are all currently participating in the game.
Guard Shaq Mason, guard Nick Broeker, defensive end Jerry Hughes, linebacker Devin White, and defensive tackle Kurt Hinish are all not participating in the game for the Texans.
