The Ravens TD record is broken by Derrick Henry

This season, Derrick Henry is undoubtedly living up to his moniker as “The King” with the Baltimore Ravens.

Henry, the 2020 Offensive Player of the Year, has exceeded the Ravens’ expectations in every way. He has elevated this already potent attack to new heights and accumulated running yards and touchdowns essentially at will.

During the first drive of Wednesday’s game against the Houston Texans, Henry scored another touchdown and once again made history. On a 2-yard rush, he recorded his 16th touchdown of the season, the most in a single season in the history of the team.

Furthermore, Henry tied Jamal Lewis (2003) for the most running touchdowns in a single season in the history of the team with his 14th of the season.

Henry had been close to breaking these marks for some time, but after scoring in each of his previous games, he went four games in a row without a touchdown. But now that he has the records and a game and change to spare, everything is fine.

Naturally, it happened against the Texans, a team he used to regularly harass while playing for the Tennessee Titans. He’s showing the Texans why he’s one of the best backs of this generation in this, his only game against his old division this season.

Late in the first quarter, Baltimore had a 10-0 advantage.
